Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Imanari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: wadiako. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imanari throws a solid leg kick but Shinoki takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Imanari.

Shinoki closes the distance and clinches.
Shinoki misses with a short punch on the inside.

Shinoki 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Imanari avoids the head kick by Shinoki .
Shinoki misses with a series of wild punches.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Imanari enables Shinoki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Imanari manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Imanari closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shinoki to the mat! Shinoki manages to get full guard.
Imanari wants to pass the guard but Shinoki is keeping the position.

Shinoki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Imanari's guard.
