Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ostrog Zavurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru comes to the cage accompanied by The Naked And Famous - Young Blood. Ostrog Zavurov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Takeru Masaru's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zavurov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Masaru looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Zavurov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Masaru regains half guard.
Masaru keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Masaru makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Masaru.

Masaru working for a triangle but Zavurov defends it easily.
Zavurov wants to control from the top but Masaru keeps moving.
Zavurov looking to sit in guard and control but Masaru gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Masaru sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zavurov's guard.
Masaru is taking a breather. Zavurov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Zavurov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Masaru pulls his head out easily.
Zavurov is trying to get back to full guard.
Zavurov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Masaru is working away from the top position though.
Masaru is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Zavurov looking for submissions off his back.
Masaru stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masaru is thwarting Zavurov's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masaru works his foot free and advances to mount.
Masaru forces the positional change into back control.

Masaru working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Zavurov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Masaru has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Zavurov taps out!

As Takeru Masaru got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: どうもありがとう!'.
