The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katwala wants to clinch.
Katwala tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Katwala will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Katwala uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McFly.
McFly misses with an uppercut. Katwala saw that one coming.

McFly shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than McFly was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

McFly tries for a kimura but Katwala is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McFly's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McFly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Katwala, who protects the arm well.

Katwala tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McFly wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

McFly is working to tighten is grip on Katwala's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Katwala has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McFly is really squeezing tight and eventually Katwala passes out! McFly breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
