The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Numazawa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
France throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Darwin France seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

France manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Numazawa on his heels. He'll look to pass Numazawa's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

France closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Numazawa quickly recovers to half guard.

France is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Numazawa sees it coming and defends easily.

France is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Numazawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

France has an Americana. Numazawa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! France is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if France hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Darwin France decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
