The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emanuel lands the left hand.
Emanuel lands a head kick. Nakano smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Emanuel tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Nakano counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Nakano has gone for a leg lock! Emanuel slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nakano's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nakano trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Emanuel is posturing up here but Nakano has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Emanuel tries to roll out but it's too tight and Emanuel has to tap! Slick submission there by Nakano!
