Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Murray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Pattis!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Pattis moves in looking to clinch but Murray pushes him off.
Nice straight punches there by Murray. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Murray.
Murray cracks Pattis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Murray throws a one two combo.
Pattis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murray swats him away and circles back towards the center.
John Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pattis fails to land the takedown.
Murray uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pattis has time to react.
Sloppy strikes from Pattis. Those never looked like landing.
Pattis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murray finds it's way round the side to connect with Pattis's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Murray throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pattis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murray as he jumps to the side.

Pattis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Murray defends it nicely.
John Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Pattis.
Murray slaps away a takedown attempt from Pattis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Murray's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pattis under the eye.
Murray lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Murray.
Murray fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pattis.
Murray lands with a shot to the body.
Pattis takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Pattis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Murray tries to bum rush Pattis with a series of wild strikes but Pattis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pattis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Murray checks it well.
Pattis tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pattis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pattis is rocked!
Pattis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pattis is still on wobbly legs! Can Murray finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Murray drops Pattis with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Pattis! Murray dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
