Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Richtofen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuro Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Richtofen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Katsuro Sato!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Richtofen blocks the leg kick.
Sato slips under a jab.
Sato pivots, looking for a leg kick but Richtofen is out of range and Sato settles back down.
Richtofen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sato moves away.
Sato slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Richtofen motions for Sato to come forward. Richtofen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Richtofen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sato manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Richtofen on his heels. He'll look to pass Richtofen's guard now, I'm sure.
Sato wants to pass the guard but Richtofen is keeping the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sato's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sato passes Richtofen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sato thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sato passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Richtofen!

Sato in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Sato lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Edward Richtofen has been cut.

Sato has control of Richtofen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Richtofen regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sato lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Sato wants to control the pace but Richtofen is squirming around nicely.
Sato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Richtofen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Edward Richtofen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Edward Richtofen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Katsuro Sato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
