Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Raban!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds fails with the takedown

and Raban counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Reynolds tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Raban postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Raban really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reynolds is trying to control the position but Raban postures up.
Raban stands up over Reynolds, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Raban seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Reynolds is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Roger Reynolds.

Raban scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Raban passes Reynolds's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Raban has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Reynolds wants to improve his position but Raban is controlling well.

Raban throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Reynolds is looking to escape.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Raban lands a nice short elbow.
Raban throwing shots but Reynolds is blocking nicely.
Raban seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Reynolds tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Raban manages to move to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Raban is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Raban controlling the pace for now.
Raban lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee warns Reynolds that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Roger Reynolds's cut is getting worse.
Raban lands a big shot there that rocks Reynolds but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Roger Reynolds's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Raban controlling from mount.
Oh Reynolds is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Raban postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Reynolds is out cold - huge knockout for Raban!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Raban!
In his post fight interview, James Raban started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
