The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birchmont wants to clinch up but DeVito keeps it at a distance.
Birchmont ducks under a wild hook from DeVito.
DeVito throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DeVito just misses with a punch to the body.
DeVito tried to score with a low kick but Birchmont checks it.
DeVito tries to keep at a distance but Birchmont has taken the fight into the clinch.
Birchmont works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

DeVito manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
DeVito goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Birchmont lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Birchmont jumps guard but DeVito stands there with Birchmont around his waist. Birchmont gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Birchmont throws a head punch that misses.
Birchmont tries to pull guard but DeVito holds him up against the cage and eventually Birchmont drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Birchmont. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Birchmont jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as DeVito walks away with a smile on his face. Birchmont gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Birchmont manages to pull guard.
DeVito wants to control from the top but Birchmont keeps moving.
Birchmont working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeVito doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeVito manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
DeVito seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Birchmont looking to hit a scissor sweep but DeVito is one step ahead there.
Birchmont looking for a triangle here. DeVito is fighting it but it looks tight! Birchmont pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, DeVito is tapping out - this one is all over!
