Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Royer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Billington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royer comes to the cage accompanied by Speak Militant- Sabac Red. Billington is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dakota Royer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Billington!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royer keeps Billington at a distance using the push kick.
A leg kick checked by Billington.
Royer looks to throw the jab but Billington is out of range.
Billington throws a hook but Royer blocks it.

Billington rushes Royer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Royer tries to break free but Billington pushes him back against the cage.
Billington is looking for a takedown.
Nice body punch from Billington.
A nice left hand lands by Billington.
Billington misses with a hook to the ribs.
Billington wants a takedown.
Billington's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Royer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Billington.
Dakota Royer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Billington.

Royer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Billington is looking to clinch but Royer is avoiding it.
Billington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Royer moves away.
Royer throws a wild body kick that Billington sees coming a mile off.
Royer throws a sloppy head kick and Billington moves out of range easily.
Royer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Billington connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Royer scrambles back to his feet.
Royer is looking to land body kicks.
Billington tries to clinch up but Royer circles away and keeps his distance.
Royer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Billington. That did some damage!
Billington shoots in for a takedown but Royer shows good takedown defense.
Dakota Royer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A cross from Billington lands.

Billington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Royer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Royer is trying to control the position but Billington postures up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Dakota Royer just wasn't active enough.
Royer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

A close round but Thomas Billington will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Royer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Royer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Billington connects with the punch.

and Billington counters with a takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Billington throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Royer works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Billington thows a huge punch but Royer dodges it nicely.

Royer trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Royer wants to get back to his feet.
Billington throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Royer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Billington on the ground.
Royer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Royer tries to lock up and control but Billington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Billington connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Royer wants to hold on but Billington pushes him away.
Billington is landing with some decent strikes but Royer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Billington throwing strikes here but Royer is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Royer tries to lock up and control but Billington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Billington has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Royer's face.
