The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester throws a leg kick that misses.
Yanagi closes the distance and clinches up with Winchester, looking for a takedown. Yanagi pushes Winchester against the cage but Winchester circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yanagi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winchester has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Yanagi's face.

Winchester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yanagi regains half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Winchester connects with a nice short shot to Yanagi's temple.
Winchester is trying to control. Yanagi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Winchester uses his free foot to push down on Yanagi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yanagi.

Winchester fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Winchester lands a couple of good shots and Yanagi has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Winchester has got one arm under Yanagi's chin. This could be trouble... Yanagi trying to control the other hand but Winchester gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Yanagi has tapped out! The fight is over!
