PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lirette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryk Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lirette might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Right Above It. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerbiec tests Lirette's chin there with a solid looking shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Szczerbiec.
Lirette walks into a left hand.
Szczerbiec lands with a cross.
Szczerbiec's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Szczerbiec duly obliges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lirette shoots in looking for a takedown but Szczerbiec manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lirette's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Szczerbiec leaves Lirette with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lirette is defended easily by Szczerbiec.
Szczerbiec scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Lirette takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Szczerbiec scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lirette crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Szczerbiec - the referee stops the clock and Lirette gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Szczerbiec. Lirette manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lirette has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Szczerbiec tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lirette swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Szczerbiec lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lirette is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Szczerbiec knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lirette misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Travis Lirette is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Oh Lirette is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Szczerbiec circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lirette to the canvas! Lirette doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Szczerbiec keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
