Linhares has chosen Los Sicarios, Sokol, Koras - A veces as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linhares throws a nice looking combination but Rippey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rippey takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Rippey throws a leg kick
and Linhares cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Linhares throws a right hand that Rippey ducks under and follows up with a left that Rippey also avoids with ease.
A low kick from Rippey is predictable there
and Linhares counters with a nice body kick.
Linhares scores with a jab.
Linhares lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rippey with a poor takedown
and Rippey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Donk. Linhares catches Rippey right on the button with a cross.
Rippey walks into a stiff left hand from Linhares.

Rippey throws out a leg kick but Linhares moves out of range and Rippey only half commits.
Linhares throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Linhares connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Linhares circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Linhares counter with a right hand.
Rippey is rocked!

and Linhares counters with a big right hand! Oh Rippey is in trouble here! Linhares follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
