With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot.
Silva throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nelson's calf.
Silva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Silva punishes Nelson's body with a nice straight punch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Nelson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nelson at a distance.
Nelson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nelson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nelson has time to react.
Silva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A head kick by Silva - that's a beauty! Nelson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Silva can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
