Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denislav Minkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Zajdler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotr Zajdler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minkov tries to move into range but Zajdler moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Minkov fails with a takedown attempt.
Zajdler connects with a single shot there.
Zajdler throws an off balance right hand
and Minkov counters with a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Minkov closes the distance and pushes Zajdler back into the cage.
Zajdler working hard to break the clinch.
Zajdler throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Minkovs head.
Zajdler goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Zajdler fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Minkov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Minkov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zajdler thuds his right hand into Minkov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Zajdler looks to land a left hand but Minkov moved out of range nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Minkov. Those never looked like landing.
Zajdler tries a head kick but it misses.
Zajdler avoids the head kick by Minkov.

Zajdler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Zajdler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Minkov doesn't seem bothered though.
Zajdler takes a swing at Minkov's ribcage but misses.
Minkov moves in looking to clinch but Zajdler pushes him off.
Minkov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Good shot there by Zajdler.
Zajdler misses with a low kick.
Minkov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zajdler defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denislav Minkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zajdler misses with a hook. Minkov ducked under it nicely.
Zajdler scores with a sloppy right hand. Minkov should have avoided that one.

Minkov drives through and clinches with Zajdler against the cage.
Minkov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Zajdler after a bit of a struggle.

Minkov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zajdler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Minkov on the side of the head.
Zajdler scores with a jab to the jaw.
Minkov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Minkov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Minkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zajdler throws out the jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Minkov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Zajdler has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Minkov throws a leg kick which misses Zajdler's front leg but catches the back leg as Zajdler tries to avoid it.
Minkov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Minkov is breathing heavily.
Zajdler is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Zajdler lands with a hook. Minkov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Minkov is rocked!
Zajdler loads up on a big right hand but Minkov slips the punch.

Zajdler cracks Minkov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Minkov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Zajdler finish him?
Oh Minkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zajdler cracks a nice hook into Minkov's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Minkov gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Zajdler gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Minkov is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Piotr Zajdler!
