Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ebenezer Scrooge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Bubba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bubba Bubba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ebenezer Scrooge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubba Bubba!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bubba dives in and grabs Scrooge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scrooge pushes down on Bubba's head and hops out.
Scrooge listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Bubba blocks a head kick by Scrooge.

Bubba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Bubba is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bubba wants to take a breather but Scrooge is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Scrooge manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bubba trying to control the position from guard on top but Scrooge is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Scrooge is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bubba pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scrooge is keeping the position for now.
Scrooge has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Scrooge pushes Bubba off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bubba shoots in for a takedown but Scrooge shows good takedown defense.
Scrooge fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bubba ducks under a wild hook from Scrooge.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scrooge dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bubba will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ebenezer Scrooge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Bubba.
Scrooge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bubba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scrooge somewhat.

Scrooge has managed to clinch.
Scrooge is trying to break the clinch but Bubba is controlling him.
Scrooge has had enough of the clinch but Bubba keeps him there for the moment.
Scrooge throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Bubba has Scrooge pressed against the cage, preventing Scrooge from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Scrooge wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bubba is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Scrooge is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Scrooge breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bubba moves forwards but Scrooge connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Scrooge motions for Bubba to come forward. Scrooge throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Scrooge fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Scrooge gets the takedown into side control.

Scrooge tries for a kimura but Bubba is defending well.
Sloppy strikes there by Scrooge.
Scrooge sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bubba is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Scrooge goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bubba has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Scrooge but great work by Bubba.
Bubba wants to control but Scrooge is keeping him busy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scrooge stops Bubba from passing to mount.

Scrooge manages to get back to half guard.
Scrooge wants to get back to his feet.
Bubba throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Scrooge to regain full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bubba wants to control from the top but Scrooge keeps moving.
Bubba throws a strike but Scrooge rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Scrooge gets to his feet - Bubba follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ebenezer Scrooge dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Scrooge feints and as Bubba raises his hands in defense, Scrooge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bubba pulls Scrooge in close to his closed guard and prevents Scrooge from doing any damage or advancing position.
Scrooge is looking to stand up but Bubba won't let him.
Scrooge wants to control from the top but Bubba keeps moving.
Bubba has a closed guard, preventing Scrooge from standing up.
Scrooge stands and throws Bubba's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bubba is trying to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Bubba's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Scrooge has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Bubba misses with a few strikes there.
Bubba lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bubba with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ebenezer Scrooge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bubba takes one to the side of the head.
Scrooge swinging wildly here.
Scrooge scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Scrooge scores with a hook.
Scrooge is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scrooge connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Scrooge drops back looking for a leg! Bubba is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bubba manages to kick Scrooge off! Scrooge jumps back into Bubba's guard.
Bubba has a closed guard, preventing Scrooge from standing up.
Bubba is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bubba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scrooge keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bubba is working for a kimura but Scrooge is defending it quite comfortably.

Scrooge looking for submissions off his back.
Bubba not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Scrooge on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Bubba seems to be looking for submissions.

Bubba is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bubba is breathing heavily.

Bubba is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Scrooge doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bubba.
Bubba misses with a head shot. Scrooge uses the momentum to regain guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ebenezer Scrooge dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Scrooge has a takedown stuffed.
Scrooge throws a sloppy head kick and Bubba moves out of range easily.
Bubba motions for Scrooge to come forward. Bubba throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Scrooge fails with the takedown.
Bubba throws a nice looking combination but Scrooge bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bubba shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Scrooge manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bubba tries to free his leg and advance position but Scrooge is retaining full guard.

Scrooge wants to stand up but Bubba is controlling him.

Scrooge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bubba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bubba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scrooge seems keen to control Bubba's posture.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Scrooge preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bubba wants to control from the top but Scrooge keeps moving.
Bubba must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bubba Bubba hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bubba misses with a lunging right hand
and Scrooge counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Scrooge forces Bubba back against the cage and clinches.
Scrooge misses with some punches.
A frustrated look appears on Scrooge's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Scrooge wants to get back to striking at distance but Bubba won't allow it.
Scrooge is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bubba wants a takedown but no success here.

Bubba gets control of Scrooge's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bubba will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bubba takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Scrooge trying to control but Bubba is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scrooge postures up.
Scrooge loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Scrooge wants to get up but he can't break Bubba's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bubba wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Scrooge is now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bubba Bubba.
Well Scrooge has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ebenezer Scrooge tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
