Fujii has chosen Diabolic - Frontlines as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshin Yamamoto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okimitsu Fujii!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujii tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Yamamoto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fujii's guard now.

Fujii has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yamamoto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Yamamoto cracks Fujii with a solid left hand.
Yamamoto content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamamoto scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Yamamoto slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yamamoto stands and throws Fujii's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Yamamoto controlling from side mount.
Yamamoto scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Fujii to see if he's OK.
Yamamoto moves into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yamamoto with shots to the head and body - Fujii looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fujii is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yamamoto sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Yamamoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yamamoto has isolated one of Fujii's arms. Fujii looking to fight him off but Yamamoto twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kenshin Yamamoto!
