Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Hawking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawking comes to the cage accompanied by One Winged Angel by The Black Mages. Gomi has chosen Scary as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking is looking to clinch.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gomi tries to advance to mount but Hawking denies him.

Gomi is nestled in close to Hawking, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hawking is refusing to be controlled, as Gomi sits in half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hawking is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gomi is trying to control. Hawking wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hawking has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gomi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hawking wants the takedown. Gomi is fighting it off but Hawking persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gomi's guard against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hawking has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gomi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
