The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda slips under a jab from Hardy.
Hardy throws a nice looking combination but Miranda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A big right from Hardy misses.
Hardy throws the left hand but Miranda avoids the punch easily.
Miranda looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hardy is fending him off so far but Miranda persists. Nope, Hardy circles away and we're back to standing.
Hardy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Miranda closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Miranda is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Miranda extends the arm and Hardy is forced to tap!
