Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simeon Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grundy comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simeon Grundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin James!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James avoids the head kick by Grundy.
Grundy tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grundy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James.
A head kick from Grundy lands but James takes it in his stride.
Grundy throws a head kick but James moves out of range.
Grundy tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Grundy rushes James and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
James blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Grundy keeps control of James as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
James jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Grundy walks away with a smile on his face. James gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
James lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Grundy doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
James on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
James dives in and grabs Grundy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grundy pushes down on James's head and hops out.

Grundy misses with a wild combination.
James misses with a double jab.
Grundy feints a jab promting James to slip. Grundy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. James slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Kevin James has been cut.

James manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Grundy on his heels. He'll look to pass Grundy's guard now, I'm sure.
James's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Grundy is looking for a triangle but James pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grundy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! James escapes and throws Grundy's legs to the side, diving into side control!
James tries to advance to mount but Grundy denies him.

Grundy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grundy is looking for a sweep.
James tries to move to mount but Grundy blocks the move with his legs.
James works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

James is staying tight to Grundy's torso, preventing him from escaping.
James landing strikes.
James lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Grundy being controlled for a moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Grundy is looking for a sweep.
James scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Grundy to see if he's OK.
Grundy is trying to control James's posture but James avoids it.

James connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Grundy some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Grundy is desperately trying to improve his position but James has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, James cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
James is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James takes a kick to the side of the head.
Grundy dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Grundy's head and hops out.
Grundy works the jab nicely.
Grundy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of James's head.

Grundy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Grundy looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely.
Grundy stalks James and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into James's face. James staggers backwards, shaken.
Grundy misses with a head kick.

James scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grundy has hold of James's hands but James slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

James loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Grundy scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from James land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. James stands and salutes the crowd.
