Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Anderton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wietrzny's entrance music is Hunter-Fallen. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luiz Anderton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderton swings for the body but Wietrzny moves out of range.
Wietrzny scores with a hook to the body. Anderton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wietrzny slips a jab and a cross from Anderton.
Anderton misses the shot to the body.
Anderton tries for a takedown but Wietrzny circles away easily
and Wietrzny counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Wietrzny decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wietrzny has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Wietrzny tries for a kimura but Anderton is defending well.
Anderton is looking to regain half guard here but Wietrzny keeps moving and retains side control.
Anderton is letting Wietrzny control him for a moment.

Anderton tries to bench press Wietrzny off him but Wietrzny keeps the position.

Wietrzny tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Wietrzny seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Anderton for as long as he can get away with.

It looks like Luiz Anderton has been cut.
Wietrzny wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Anderton throws a nice looking combination but Wietrzny bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Wietrzny goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Anderton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Anderton darts in trying to clinch
and Wietrzny counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Anderton thinking.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wietrzny just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wietrzny bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Anderton tries to improve position but can't.
Wietrzny controls the position.
Igor Wietrzny overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wietrzny's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Wietrzny lands a left and a right that send Anderton crashing to the mat, dazed. Wietrzny thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

That has opened up Luiz Anderton's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Wietrzny knocks Anderton out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
