Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Metal Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Metal ripper. Metal Ripper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Metal Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julian Reis!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis walks into a stiff left hand from Ripper.

Reis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ripper is trying to control but can't.
Ripper tries to get to full guard but Reis has control of the leg.

Reis wants to work for an arm triangle but Ripper is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ripper is trying is best to control the position here.
Ripper is pressing down on Reis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ripper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reis is one step ahead there.
Ripper is trying to keep Reis in close.
Ripper manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Reis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ripper trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Ripper throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Ripper wants to take his opponent's back but Reis doesn't allow it.
Reis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Ripper is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reis is surviving well by controlling Ripper's body position as best he can.

Reis has given up his back.

Ripper is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Reis is defending well though. Ripper let's go of the attempt for now.
Ripper misses with an elbow to the head.

Ripper is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ripper lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Reis.
Ripper wants to control but Reis is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Reis's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reis tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Reis avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ripper.
Reis stops Ripper from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Ripper trying to control but Reis is having none of it.

Ripper is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reis has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Reis wants to control but Ripper is having none of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reis manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Reis has hold of Ripper's hands but Ripper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Reis is trying to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reis wants to control but Ripper is keeping busy.

Ripper is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ripper.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Reis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ripper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reis tries to move into range but Ripper moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Reis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ripper. Ripper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Metal Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripper misses with a body shot.
Reis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Reis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ripper.

Ripper looks to score with a jab to the body but Reis is just out of range.
Ripper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ripper loads up on a big right hand but Reis slips the punch.
Metal Ripper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ripper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reis circles away quickly and effectively.
Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ripper looks to land a combination but Reis avoids it well.
Ripper pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Reis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ripper jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Reis slaps away a takedown attempt from Ripper, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Metal Ripper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ripper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reis avoids it really well and circles away.

Reis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reis showed some decent athleticism there.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Ripper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reis moves away.
Reis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ripper's head.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ripper takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Reis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Reis tries to keep at a distance but Ripper has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ripper is looking to control Reis's arms but Reis gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ripper has his back to the cage.
Reis is trying to force a seperation but Ripper has the dominant position.
Reis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ripper is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Reis is defending well for now.
Julian Reis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ripper on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ripper is pressed up against the cage. Reis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ripper down to the mat. Ripper avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ripper throws a right hand that misses
and Reis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ripper.
Ripper looks to land a left hand but Reis moved out of range nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Metal Ripper showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ripper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
