Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Samin Ax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam misses with a few strikes there.
A head kick misses from Beam.
Beam uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ax.
Beam throws a series of punches but Ax moves out of range.

Ax closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beam's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ax has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ax sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Beam's guard.

Ax is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beam sees it coming and defends easily.

Ax is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beam is just riding it out for now. Ax eventually gives up the hold.

Beam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ax. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ax moves into full mount! Beam won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ax has hold of Beam's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Beam tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ax cranks the arm and Beam screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Beam, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
