Durden kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pride . Dupree Owens has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tyler Durden's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dupree Owens!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens scores with a body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Durden.
A telegraphed right hand from Durden misses the target.

Durden gets tackled into the cage by Owens. Owens maintains the clinch.
Durden tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Owens looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Owens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Durden pulls his leg out and moves away.

Owens jabs Durden to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A head kick from Durden lands but Owens takes it in his stride.
Owens throws a hook to the side of Durden's head but Durden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Owens has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Durden.
A telegraphed right hand from Durden misses the target.
Owens throws a sloppy head kick
and Durden counters with a good low kick that Owens was not able to check.

Durden has closed the distance and engaged Owens in a clinch.

Durden throws a punch but it's blocked by Owens.
Durden misses with a short punch on the inside.
Durden slowing the pace effectively.
Owens blocking some punches.
Owens tries for a takedown but Durden manages to get underhooks.
Durden throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Owenss head.
Durden prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tyler Durden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dupree Owens.
Owens is trying to break free.
Durden pushes off an throws an elbow but Owens leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Durden steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Owens.
A decent looking cross lands there for Durden.
Owens takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Durden connects with a single shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durden bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Owens's head.
Durden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Durden stuns Owens with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Durden lands a nice leg kick that just misses Owens's sensitive parts.
A nice combination there by Durden.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Owens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Durden manages to avoid it.
Durden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Durden.
Owens tries to bum rush Durden with a series of wild strikes but Durden uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Durden dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Durden dips to his left and cracks Owens with an uppercut!
Owens bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Durden's head.

Durden ducks under a wild hook from Owens.
Durden slips a jab and a cross from Owens.
Owens avoids a kick to the body.
Owens scores with a one two! Durden had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Owens's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Owens throws a combination. Durden tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Tyler Durden has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Owens throws a right and a left that both miss.
Durden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Durden takes a jab right on the kisser.
Owens catches Durden with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Owens tries to break the clinch but Durden is controlling the position.
Owens is trying to break the clinch but Durden has him pressed against the cage.
Owens drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Durden gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Durden tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Owens avoids it.

Owens is looking to break free of the clinch but Durden has double underhooks.

Owens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Owens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Durden moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyler Durden will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyler Durden.
Well Durden has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
