PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jones Zica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zica has chosen Master of Puppets by Metallica as his entrance music. Jones Zica told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Zica closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Stevens looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A nice left hand lands by Zica.

Stevens breaks the clinch.
Zica misses with an uppercut. Stevens saw that one coming.
Zica connects with a body shot that sends Stevens's belly button to the back.

Stevens throws a push kick but Zica slaps the foot to one side.
Zica darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Stevens takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Zica throws an overhand right that lands on Stevens's shoulder, as Stevens tries to avoid the shot.
Zica misses with a few strikes there.
Zica jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That kick from Zica tenderised Stevens's leg. Stevens is trying to keep his angry face on.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevens walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zica throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zica connects with an inside leg kick.
Zica throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Stevens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zica.

Stevens lands a really nice looking cross but Zica seems unphased.
Zica rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stevens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Oh Stevens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stevens is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Zica doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Stevens crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Stevens's bad books for that mishap!

A very excited looking Jones Zica rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
