Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Stock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janis Piternieks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stock comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Hold Us. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Janis Piternieks!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stock missing with a left hand there. Piternieks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Stock chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Piternieks can pounce on him.
Nice defenses there by Piternieks.
Stock throws a shot from downtown. Piternieks moves away and avoids it.
Piternieks throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stock misses with a wild body shot.
Piternieks is looking to slow Stock down with leg kicks.
Piternieks throws a nice inside leg kick.
Piternieks lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Piternieks moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stock misses with a double jab.
Piternieks throws a nice outside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stock on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Piternieks lands with a thumping leg kick.
Piternieks throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stock's head.
Piternieks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stock.

Stock throws the left hand but Piternieks avoids the punch easily.
Piternieks fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stock.
Stock is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stock. Piternieks does a little dance to reset his feet.
Piternieks throws a nice inside leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Stock or perhaps it was just good defense by Piternieks which made him look bad.

Stock bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Piternieks can't do much from the bottom here.

Stock wants to control but Piternieks is keeping him busy.

Stock is trying to get an arm triangle but Piternieks is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piternieks is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stock off and has taken his back!
Piternieks just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Piternieks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Piternieks feints and then cracks Stock's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stock down.

Piternieks is staying tight to Stock's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Piternieks working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Stock tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Piternieks presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Stock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Piternieks lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stock's sensitive parts.

Stock pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Piternieks displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stock throws out the jab.

That kick from Piternieks tenderised Stock's leg. Stock is trying to keep his angry face on.

Stock throws a lazy right hand but Piternieks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Piternieks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stock is trying to defend but Piternieks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Piternieks drops an elbow to the side of Stock's head.
Piternieks is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stock reverses the position - he's now on top in Piternieks's guard.
Stock with a flurry of punches that miss.
Piternieks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stock is one step ahead there.
Piternieks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stock wants to control but Piternieks is keeping busy.

Piternieks cracks Stock with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Piternieks prevents Stock from getting the reversal.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Piternieks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Stock tries to reverse the position but Piternieks maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Piternieks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Piternieks tries to free his leg and advance position but Stock is retaining full guard.

Stock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Piternieks is working away from the top position though.
Piternieks content to control rather than advance.

Stock takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stock. Piternieks does a little dance to reset his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Piternieks.
Piternieks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stock misses with a jab, cross combination.
Piternieks lands a front kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Piternieks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stock has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Piternieks.
Stock takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Piternieks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Piternieks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stock. That did some damage!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Piternieks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Piternieks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Piternieks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
