Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Riddle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yermolai Sokoloff!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddle thumps Sokoloff with a low kick.
Riddle throws a shot to the body.
Sokoloff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Riddle swivels and escapes.
Riddle missing with a left hand there. Sokoloff was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Riddle tries to close the distance and clinch but Sokoloff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sokoloff swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Riddle tests Sokoloff's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Yermolai Sokoloff has been cut.

Sokoloff slips under a jab.
Sokoloff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sokoloff drives through and clinches with Riddle against the cage.

Riddle takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A punch lands to the side of Riddle 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Riddle feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sokoloffs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Riddle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sokoloff is one step ahead there.
Sokoloff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riddle wants to improve his position but instead Sokoloff has moved into half guard.

Riddle is refusing to be controlled, as Sokoloff sits in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sokoloff throws a big elbow that misses.

Sokoloff looking to sit in guard and control but Riddle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sokoloff is trying to control the position but Riddle postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sokoloff manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Riddle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sokoloff wants to sweep but Riddle has passed to side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yermolai Sokoloff dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sokoloff wants to clinch.
Sokoloff dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sokoloff drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Riddle tries to bench press Sokoloff off him but Sokoloff keeps the position.
Sokoloff throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Sokoloff fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sokoloff tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sokoloff cracks Riddle with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Sokoloff tries to advance to mount but Riddle denies him.
Sokoloff looks up at the clock and then as Riddle takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sokoloff smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sokoloff throws a strike aimed at the side of Riddle's head but Riddle avoids it well.
Sokoloff working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Sokoloff working the strikes but Riddle uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Sokoloff controlling the pace.
Riddle on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Riddle is rocked!
Sokoloff scores with a big shot! Riddle's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Riddle! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yermolai Sokoloff!
