Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Cardenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sloan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. What you know about that kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardenas is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sloan.
Cardenas throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sloan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cardenas's knee momentarily.
Sloan tries to land a front kick but Cardenas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sloan has a takedown stuffed.
Cardenas wants to clinch up but Sloan keeps it at a distance.
Cardenas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sloan.
Sloan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cardenas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cardenas takes a swing at Sloan's ribcage but misses.
Sloan shoots for a takedown but Cardenas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sloan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cardenas but Cardenas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cardenas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Cardenas scores with a hook to the body. Sloan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sloan, right into the meat.
Cardenas is looking to wear down Sloan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Cardenas stalks Sloan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sloan's face. Sloan staggers backwards, shaken.
Cardenas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sloan.
Cardenas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cardenas throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sloan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sloan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sloan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cardenas swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cardenas clinches up with Sloan and pushes him back against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Cardenas.
Sloan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cardenas walks away with a smile on his face. Sloan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cardenas fails in his attempt to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cardenas throws a right and a left that Sloan avoids nicely.

Cardenas moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cardenas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cardenas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cardenas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Trevor Sloan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cardenas pinned against the cage. Cardenas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cardenas fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cardenas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sloan somewhat.

Sloan tries to move into range but Cardenas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Sloan tries to clinch up but Cardenas pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sloan to the mat! Sloan covers up and Cardenas unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
