With a record of 10 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Humberto Montes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a combination that misses
and Montes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brown throws an off balance right hand
and Montes counters with a two punch combo.
Brown takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Brown throws a leg kick that is checked
and Montes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Steve Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Brown loads up on a big right hand but Montes slips the punch.
The crowd cheers as Montes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brown doesn't seem phased though.

Montes lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brown will feel that in the morning.
Brown steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Montes. That one must have hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Montes lands an overhand right.

Montes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Montes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Brown is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Montes yanks on the arm and Brown is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Montes.
