Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ola John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, LeSean Mccoy!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. John catches Mccoy right on the button with a cross.
John misses with a head kick.
John avoids the body shot from Mccoy.
John is looking to land body kicks.
LeSean Mccoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mccoy misses with a lunging right hand

and John counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
John is trying to control the action in half guard but Mccoy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

John is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mccoy is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

John tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no John has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

John is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mccoy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mccoy.

John changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mccoy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
John wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mccoy keeps working.
John remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mccoy is looking to get back to his feet here but John is keeping cool and he's managed to take Mccoy's back.
John has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
John controlling well, preventing Mccoy from escaping the position.
