PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between OK Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gugo Ograni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter comes into the arena with Pawn Shop - Sublime blaring out of the sound system. Ograni has chosen Ameno - Era as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, OK Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gugo Ograni!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Fighter misses.
Nice jab there from Fighter.

Ograni fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fighter avoids it really well and circles away.
Fighter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ograni takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Gugo Ograni has been cut.
Fighter misses with a straight right.
Fighter lands a jab to the head.
Fighter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Ograni counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fighter won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ograni tries for a kimura but Fighter is defending well.

Ograni is looking to take a break and control but Fighter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ograni is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ograni is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fighter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ograni.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ograni feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fighters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Ograni closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fighter is trying to work for a sweep but Ograni has mounted him!

Ograni is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fighter has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fighter!

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fighter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because OK Fighter just wasn't active enough.

A lazy left from Ograni finds it's target.

Fighter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ograni was well out of range. Poor timing from Fighter.
Fighter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Fighter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ograni throws out the jab.

Ograni throws an overhand right that lands on Fighter's shoulder, as Fighter tries to avoid the shot.
OK Fighter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close second round but I would say that OK Fighter will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Ograni thuds his right hand into Fighter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ograni changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ograni goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fighter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ograni but great work by Fighter.

Gugo Ograni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ograni has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
