Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Emiliano Abbandando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Malcolm Dare!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbandando lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Abbandando lands a nice looking body shot.

Dare avoids a kick to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dare looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abbandando scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dare doesn't seem bothered though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abbandando connects with a leg kick. Dare looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Abbandando throws a right hand that Dare ducks under and follows up with a left that Dare also avoids with ease.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dare crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Abbandando - the referee stops the clock and Dare gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Abbandando. Dare manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dare moves out of range as Abbandando throws a body kick.
Abbandando fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dare.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Abbandando lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dare tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Abbandando lands a big right hand that sends Dare crashing to the mat! Abbandando stays standing though and waves Dare back to his feet!

Dare tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Dare walks forward, straight into a front kick from Abbandando.
Dare has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Abbandando.
Dare takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Abbandando connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Abbandando is looking to slow Dare down with leg kicks.
Dare avoids a punch combination nicely.
Abbandando jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dare walks straight into a right hand from Abbandando - that's dropped him! Abbandando jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Dare from any more punishment! Dare complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Emiliano Abbandando!
