Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Loserson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Madhav Senthil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Madhav Senthil!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loserson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
An inside leg kick from Loserson misses.

Senthil scores with a takedown into Loserson's guard.
Senthil advances position into side control!
Loserson tries to improve position but can't.
Senthil working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Loserson is looking for a sweep.
The ground and pound from Senthil seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Senthil in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Senthil misses with the ground and pound.

You can see the frustration on Loserson's face as Senthil controls the position.

Senthil has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Loserson looks for a takedown but Senthil sprawls well.
Senthil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Senthil slaps away a takedown attempt from Loserson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Senthil shoots for a takedown but Loserson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Loserson wants to stand up but Senthil is controlling him.
Loserson controls Senthil momentarily but Senthil frees himself.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Senthil stands up from Loserson's guard - Senthil perhaps looking for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Loserson ducks under a wild hook from Senthil.

Loserson tries to sprawl but Senthil drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Loserson wants to control but Senthil is keeping busy.

Senthil seems to be working for a kimura but Loserson defends the submission attempt.
Loserson tries to kick Senthil off but Senthil keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Senthil not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Senthil stands up from half guard.
Loserson fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Loserson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Loserson shoots in looking for a takedown but Senthil manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Loserson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Senthil fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Loserson, pushing him back against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Loserson is trying to push Senthil away but Senthil has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Senthil drops down looking for an ankle pick but Loserson pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Madhav Senthil dominated that round.
That's time! Loserson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Loserson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Loserson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Senthil swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Loserson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Senthil pinned against the cage. Senthil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Loserson dives in and grabs Senthil's left leg, looking for a takedown. Senthil pushes down on Loserson's head and hops out.
Senthil throws a head kick but Loserson moves out of range.
Senthil swats away the attempt to clinch by Loserson.
Loserson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Loserson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Senthil shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Loserson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Senthil stands up and waves to Loserson to follow him.
Senthil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Loserson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Loserson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Senthil gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Loserson counters with a big head kick but Senthil shrugs it off.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Senthil throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Loserson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Senthil is stalling in the full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Madhav Senthil wasn't active enough on the ground.
Loserson misses with a series of wild punches.
Senthil dives in and grabs Loserson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Loserson pushes down on Senthil's head and hops out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Loserson shoots in and drives through. Senthil sprawls well.

Senthil closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Loserson to the mat! Loserson manages to get full guard.
Senthil is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Senthil is looking to work some ground and pound but Loserson has wrist control.
Senthil controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Senthil decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Loserson, up you get!

Senthil moves into the clinch.

Senthil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Loserson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Loserson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Senthil circles away quickly and effectively.

Senthil shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Loserson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Senthil decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Senthil clinches.

Senthil pulls guard effortlessly.
Senthil is adopting a defensive guard.
Let's hope that Senthil has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Madhav Senthil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Senthil moves out of range of the body kick.
Loserson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Senthil as he jumps to the side.

Senthil clinches with his opponent.
Senthil tries to pull guard but Loserson won't allow it.
Senthil using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Senthil has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Loserson uses from the top position.
Senthil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loserson's guard.

Senthil throws a big elbow that misses.

Senthil controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Loserson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Loserson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Senthil on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Madhav Senthil.

Senthil darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Senthil seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Senthil is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Loserson trying to control but Senthil postures up.
Senthil perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Loserson is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Madhav Senthil.

Senthil instigates a clinch.
Loserson is looking for a takedown.

Senthil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Senthil has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Senthil closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Loserson to the mat! Loserson manages to get full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Loserson wants to control but Senthil passes easily into half guard.
Senthil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Well, if Senthil is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Loserson wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Senthil thows a huge punch but Loserson dodges it nicely.
Senthil uses his free foot to push down on Loserson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Loserson.

And that's the end of the fight!
Madhav Senthil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Senthil winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
