Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nuno Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flores has chosen Napalm & Erruption- In San Francisco as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nuno Martins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ric Flores!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flores closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Martins's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Flores postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Flores missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Flores content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Flores has gone for a leg lock! Martins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Flores's guard.

Martins stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Flores fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martins avoids it really well and circles away.
Martins throws a right hand that misses
and Flores counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martins leaves Flores with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Martins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Martins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Flores.
Martins missing with a left hand there. Flores was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nuno Martins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flores avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Martins. Flores does a little dance to reset his feet.
Martins misses with a low kick.
Martins scores with a body shot.
Martins with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Martins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Flores's calf.
Martins tries a head kick but it misses.
Martins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Flores shoots in and drives through. Martins sprawls well.
Nuno Martins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ric Flores.

Flores shoots in for a takedown but Martins shows good takedown defense.
Martins looks for the body kick but Flores saw that one coming.

Martins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Flores has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Flores is trying hard to land a takedown here. Martins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Martins feints and then cracks Flores's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Flores down.
Flores is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martins.
Flores walks into a stiff left hand from Martins.
Martins scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Flores misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flores.
Martins throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Flores is rocked!

It looks like Ric Flores has been cut.
Martins drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Flores right on the button. Flores goes down! Martins follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Martins gets the win via TKO!
