Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock takes a swing at Gill's ribcage but misses.

Shamrock scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Shamrock is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Shamrock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gill sees it coming and defends easily.

Shamrock slows the pace down in half guard.
Gill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shamrock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bobby Shamrock.
Shamrock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gill swivels and escapes.
Gill displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shamrock.
Gill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shamrock circles away.

Shamrock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gill looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Shamrock puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Shamrock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shamrock seems to be working for a kimura but Gill defends the submission attempt.

Shamrock is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gill can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gill is working to get back to half guard.

Shamrock fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Shamrock has control of Gill's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gill regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shamrock cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
