Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapis has closed the distance and engaged Zhou in a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Zhou throws an elbow but misses.
Zhou has had enough of the clinch but Lapis keeps him there for the moment.

Lapis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zhou can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lapis quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Lapis but it's paid off an Zhou is forced to tap! Nice work by Lapis.
