Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lager Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assassin comes to the cage accompanied by yes. Cabrera has chosen Hector as his entrance music. Hector Cabrera told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Lager Assassin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hector Cabrera!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assassin slips under a jab.
Assassin looks to score with a jab to the body but Cabrera is just out of range.
Assassin throws a body punch but Cabrera moves out of range.
Assassin thows a body shot but no joy.
Assassin checks a leg kick nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cabrera, as that shot connected.
Assassin fails with a takedown attempt.
Cabrera looks to land a right hand but Assassin moved out of range.
Cabrera misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Assassin tries to clinch there but Cabrera circles away.
Assassin connects with a body shot that sends Cabrera's belly button to the back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Assassin has a takedown stuffed.

Cabrera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cabrera not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cabrera looks to land a strike but Assassin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Assassin keeping moving, preventing Cabrera from controlling successfully.
Assassin trying to control the position.
Cabrera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Assassin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabrera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cabrera distracts Assassin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cabrera preventing the sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Assassin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cabrera works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Assassin gets back to full guard.
Assassin keeping full guard, as Cabrera tries to pass.
Cabrera scoring with punches to the head and body.
Assassin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cabrera is one step ahead there.

Assassin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cabrera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Assassin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cabrera escapes and throws Assassin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Assassin can't do much from the bottom here.
Assassin is looking to reverse the position.
Assassin regains half guard.
Assassin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cabrera not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Cabrera moves into full mount! Assassin won't be happy about that!
Cabrera lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cabrera with a couple of short strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Assassin is looking to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cabrera lands a big elbow.
Assassin is desperately trying to improve his position but Cabrera has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cabrera cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cabrera breaks from Assassin's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Cabrera is landing with some decent strikes but Assassin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Assassin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cabrera putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Assassin is rocked!
Cabrera scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Oh Assassin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Assassin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Cabrera's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Cabrera!
A less than humble Hector Cabrera misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
