Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yonder Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Moses Sithole!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sithole keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sithole pushes Alonso up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Alonso fails to land.
Sithole working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Sithole lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alonso backwards.
Sithole throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Alonso throws a punch but it's blocked by Sithole.
Sithole scores with a shot to the side of Alonso's head.
Sithole lands with a light punch inside.
Sithole scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Sithole manages to break the clinch.
Alonso is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Alonso darts in trying to clinch
and Sithole counters with a nice low kick that buckles Alonso's knee momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sithole scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alonso doesn't seem bothered though.
Sithole cracks the inside of Alonso's front leg.
Alonso is breathing heavily.
Sithole cracks Alonso with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sithole.
Alonso takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sithole lands a big head kick that sends Alonso tumbling to the mat! Sithole takes a step backwards and waves Alonso back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Alonso is rocked!
It looks like Yonder Alonso has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sithole Throws a clean left jab. Sithole Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Alonso's chin! Alonso crumbles to the ground and Sithole follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Sithole!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Moses Sithole!
