Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marek Contofalsky!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contofalsky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Contofalsky wants it to stay on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Contofalsky goes for a takedown in the clinch but Khan prevents it.
Contofalsky looking to throw knees to the head but Khan is blocking nicely.
Contofalsky manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Contofalsky tries to score a body lock takedown but Khan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Contofalsky has Khan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Khan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Genghis Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Contofalsky.
Contofalsky drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Khan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Khan pulls guard effortlessly.
Khan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Contofalsky is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Genghis Khan.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Contofalsky goes for a takedown attempt but Khan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Khan slips a jab and a cross from Contofalsky.

Khan clinches up with Contofalsky and pushes him back against the cage.
Khan dodges an elbow strike from Contofalsky.
Khan tries to circle away but Contofalsky has him pinned against the cage.

Contofalsky changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Khan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Khan rushes Contofalsky and presses him up against the cage.

Contofalsky goes for a takedown in the clinch but Khan prevents it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Contofalsky - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Khan has Contofalsky pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Khan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Contofalsky tumbling to the mat - Khan dives into Contofalsky's guard.

Khan wants to take the fight to the mat but Contofalsky manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Contofalsky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Khan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Contofalsky to the mat. Contofalsky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Khan throws a strike but Contofalsky rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Contofalsky wants to stand but Khan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Khan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Contofalsky's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Contofalsky is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Contofalsky keeping full guard, as Khan tries to pass.
Khan throws a big right hand that misses.
Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Contofalsky swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Khan postures up in Contofalsky's guard and throws a big left but Contofalsky blocks it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Contofalsky tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Khan rushes Contofalsky and presses him up against the cage.
Khan jumps guard but Contofalsky stands there with Khan around his waist. Khan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Contofalsky wants to stall.
Khan goes for a takedown attempt but Contofalsky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Khan leaves Contofalsky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Khan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Contofalsky counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Contofalsky.

Khan pulls guard.

Khan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Contofalsky misses with a series of wild punches.
Contofalsky throws a solid leg kick but Khan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Contofalsky.

Khan clinches up with Contofalsky and pushes him back against the cage.
Contofalsky is looking for a takedown.

Contofalsky pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Khan fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Contofalsky has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Khan after a bit of a struggle.
Contofalsky drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Khan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Khan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Contofalsky walks away with a smile on his face. Khan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Khan is looking to control Contofalsky's arms but Contofalsky gets an underhook and turns him. Now Khan has his back to the cage.
Contofalsky looking for a takedown.
Khan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Contofalsky wants to stall.
Khan tries to pull guard but Contofalsky forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Contofalsky throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Khan blocks it with crossed arms.
Genghis Khan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Contofalsky trying to stall but Khan improves his position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Genghis Khan.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
