The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Nygard misses the target.
Nygard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Calico. Calico circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nygard has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Homunculus Alembic in the buildup to the fight.
Nygard looks to land a left hand but Calico moved out of range nicely.
Nygard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nygard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Nygard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Calico connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nygard scrambles back to his feet.

Nygard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Calico ducks right into an uppercut from Nygard.

Nygard tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Nygard pushes Calico back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nygard dips a shoulder and cracks Calico with a mighty uppercut! Calico falls back against the cage and Nygard unloads with a barrage of strikes! Calico is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Nygard screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
