PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justin Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Justin Dunn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Justin Dunn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone lands with a slapping head kick.
Dunn with a lazy takedown attempt

and Stone holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Stone breaks the clinch.
Stone fails to land with a series of punches.
Dunn throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dunn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dunn walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stone.
Dunn is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stone.
Justin Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dunn tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stone is in Dunn's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dunn is working an open guard so Stone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Stone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Stone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stone shoots in looking for a takedown. Dunn tries to sprawl out of it but Stone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dunn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Stone jumps guard but Dunn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dunn as he avoids it easily.
Stone connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Stone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dunn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stone to the ground. Dunn is now in Stone's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stone is pulling down on Dunn's head. It's preventing any offense from Dunn, at least for the moment.

Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stone is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Stone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Stone is looking for a triangle but Dunn pushes his legs off easily.
Stone is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Stone wants to sweep here but Dunn controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Dunn postures up in Stone's guard and throws a big left but Stone blocks it.
Dunn is fighting to break Stone's control of his arms but Stone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dunn's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dunn has momentary wrist control but Stone slips an elbow through the middle.
Stone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dunn's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rock Stone dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dunn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stone counters with a thumping low kick.
Stone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dunn pinned against the cage. Dunn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stone has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dunn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Stone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dunn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Stone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Stone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dunn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stone slips a nice elbow through Dunn's hands, connecting with Dunn's forehead.
Dunn is trying to stand.
Stone is nestled in close to Dunn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Stone is taking a breather. Dunn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Stone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's time! Dunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Dunn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stone but Stone pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stone takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stone fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dunn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stone's waist but Stone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunn off to one side.
Stone looks to land a combination but Dunn avoids it well.

Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
