Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickie Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lambert shoots in looking for a takedown. Rocket tries to sprawl out of it but Lambert keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rocket manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lambert shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rocket eats them both and turns towards Lambert to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Lambert shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rocket but Rocket pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rocket closes the distance and clinches up with Lambert, looking for a takedown. Rocket pushes Lambert against the cage but Lambert circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rocket has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lambert is working away from the top position though.

Lambert looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rocket with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I would just about give that final round to Rickie Lambert.
Well Lambert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
