Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilias Iliadis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Effigy. Iliadis has chosen Until it sleeps as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iliadis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Brooks connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Brooks lands an overhand right.
Brooks tests Iliadis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Brooks misses with a looping right.
Brooks throws a nice outside leg kick.
Iliadis looks for a takedown but Brooks sprawls well.
Brooks lands with a hook. Iliadis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Brooks throws a hook to the side of Iliadis's head but Iliadis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brooks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Brooks fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Iliadis on the side of the head.

Iliadis is rocked!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Iliadis is defended easily by Brooks.
Iliadis is still on wobbly legs! Can Brooks finish him?

Iliadis gets a clinch.
Brooks lands a right hand that snaps the head of Iliadis backwards.
Iliadis seems to have recovered his senses.

Brooks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Brooks lands a shoulder strike.
Brooks with a knee to the head.
Brooks lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Iliadis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Iliadis takes a shot to the head.
Brooks lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Brooks misses with the head strike.
Brooks softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Brooks throws a punch but it's blocked by Iliadis.
A nice left hand lands by Brooks.

Brooks gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Iliadis is looking to improve his position.

Brooks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Iliadis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brooks.

Brooks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Brooks seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brooks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iliadis on the ground.

Brooks winds up and cracks Iliadis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Iliadis is trying to maintain the position but Brooks is very close to passing his half guard.
Brooks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brooks lands a nice short elbow.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brooks is pressing down on Iliadis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Iliadis is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Iliadis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brooks is fending him off so far but Iliadis persists. Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing.

Brooks connects with a good right hand that stumbles Iliadis. Iliadis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A chopping leg kick lands by Brooks.
Brooks throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Iliadis on the side of the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brooks.

Oooooh!!! Brooks has knocked Iliadis down with a huge combo! Brooks steps away and waves a wobbly Iliadis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brooks moves in close and cracks Iliadis with a massive right hand! Iliadis, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Brooks!
