The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ivey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Reinegger. Reinegger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Reinegger with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ivey to score with a decent uppercut.
Ivey throws a shot to the body.
Ivey takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Reinegger is breathing heavily.

Ivey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reinegger manages to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ivey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ivey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Reinegger might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Ivey throws a series of strikes that have Reinegger backpedaling.
Ivey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ivey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reinegger.

Reinegger goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ivey prevents it.

Reinegger uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ivey.
Ivey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Ivey scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Ivey cracks Reinegger with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ivey stuns Reinegger with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ivey misses with a few strikes there.
Ivey swinging wilding here.
Reinegger has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


Tom Reinegger's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ivey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ivey moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


Jeez, Tom Reinegger's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
