Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucious Vorenus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darth Penguin acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penguin looking to score a takedown here. Vorenus is defending well but Penguin drives through and ends up in Vorenus's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Penguin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vorenus is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Penguin, into his guard.

Vorenus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vorenus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Penguin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Vorenus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Penguin's guard.

Penguin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Vorenus.

It looks like Darth Penguin has been cut.
Vorenus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Penguin's waist but Penguin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vorenus off to one side.

Vorenus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Penguin fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vorenus is out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Penguin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vorenus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Vorenus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Penguin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Penguin uses his free foot to push down on Vorenus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vorenus.

Vorenus is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Penguin asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Penguin is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vorenus's shoulder. That is not cool.

Penguin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Penguin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vorenus did well to prevent Penguin getting side control.

Penguin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vorenus's face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penguin stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Penguin wants to clinch.
Vorenus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

No joy there for Vorenus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Penguin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Penguin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
