Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes into the arena with Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 31 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barnes but Barnes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Barnes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barnes wants it to stay on the feet.

Barnes has taken the fight to the clinch.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Steve Rogers hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rogers dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.
Rogers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barnes lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut.

Barnes sends Rogers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Barnes is motioning to the referee to let Rogers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Barnes wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rogers seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Barnes has recovered full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frankie Barnes will probably get the nod.
