The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzada lands a jab to the head.
Elkins goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Calzada scores with a hook to the body. Elkins takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Good work by Elkins as he checks the leg kick.
Elkins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Calzada.
Calzada moves out of range of the body kick.
Elkins takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Calzada with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A punch lands to the side of Elkins 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Calzada lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Calzada lands with an uppercut that bounces Elkins off the cage and back into range.

Calzada connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Elkins momentarily.
Nice takedown defense from Calzada. No joy for Elkins on that attempt.

Calzada clobbers Elkins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That kick from Calzada tenderised Elkins's leg. Elkins is trying to keep his angry face on.

Calzada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

After the fight, Perlito Calzada was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
