Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Whales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul McCracken!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken throws a push kick but Whales slaps the foot to one side.
McCracken tries to close the distance and clinch up but Whales swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Whales scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McCracken jabs at Whales's body.
McCracken buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McCracken finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McCracken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick misses from McCracken.
McCracken misses with a kick to the body.
McCracken tries to clinch but Whales moves out of range.
McCracken throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
McCracken attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
McCracken tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Whales takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

McCracken thows a body kick. Whales tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Whales turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Whales shoots in looking for a takedown. McCracken tries to sprawl out of it but Whales keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCracken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McCracken throws a series of punches but Whales moves out of range.
McCracken throws a low kick but Whales avoids it.
McCracken stuffs the takedown attempt from Whales. Whales gets slowly back to his feet.
Whales moves out of range of the body kick.
McCracken will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Whales dodges the punch combination from McCracken.

A slow jab from McCracken misses its intended target.
McCracken throws a sloppy head kick and Whales moves out of range easily.
Whales throws a low kick, looking for McCracken's leg but McCracken calmly moves out of range.
McCracken motions for Whales to come forward. McCracken throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McCracken throws a head kick but Whales moves out of range.
Whales lands a really nice looking cross but McCracken seems unphased.
McCracken throws a leg kick which misses Whales's front leg but catches the back leg as Whales tries to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCracken throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
An inside leg kick from McCracken misses.
Whales fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McCracken avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Whales. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Whales looks for a takedown but McCracken sprawls well.
Whales blocks a head kick by McCracken.
Whales shoots in looking for a takedown. McCracken tries to sprawl out of it but Whales keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCracken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McCracken looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
McCracken throws a lazy body kick

and Whales counters with a single leg into guard. McCracken didn't expect that.
Whales trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Whales looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McCracken really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Whales throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McCracken works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McCracken wants to get back to his feet but Whales is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McCracken is trying to control the position from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCracken is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


McCracken throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
McCracken tries a head kick but it misses.
McCracken feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Whales's calf.
McCracken throws a right hand that misses

and Whales counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Whales.
Whales with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Whales tries to free his leg and advance position but McCracken is retaining full guard.
Whales stands and throws McCracken's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Whales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Whales wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCracken keeps working.

Whales cracks McCracken with a big elbow.
Whales tries to move to mount but McCracken blocks the move with his legs.
Whales has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for McCracken!
Whales trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Whales landing strikes from the mount.
Whales has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCracken's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Whales can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCracken is looking to escape.
Whales tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCracken tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Whales cracks McCracken with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Whales sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCracken can do anything to dispel that myth.
Whales has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

McCracken is rocked!
McCracken wants to get back to his feet.
McCracken is still in real trouble! Can Whales finish him?
Whales loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have McCracken scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Whales land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Whales stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Whales!
