The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Granite shoots in looking for a takedown but Scotty manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Granite's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scotty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Granite was well out of range. Poor timing from Scotty.

and Granite connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Granite has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Scotty regains guard immediately.
