Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keith Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pluto Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by Supersonic - Jamiroquai. The crowd seem to be enjoying Palhares's choice of entrance music: TOQUINHO. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keith Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pluto Palhares!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Green swings for the body but Palhares moves out of range.
Palhares has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Green finds it's way round the side to connect with Palhares's head.
Green throws a poor cross that misses

and Palhares counters with a takedown into side control.
Palhares scoring with punches from side control.
An elbow from Palhares crashes against the mat.
Palhares is putting a hurting on Green here, landing some big shots from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Palhares trying to control the position but Green is working away.
Green parries the strikes from Palhares easily there. Palhares is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Green to escape.
Palhares wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.

Palhares goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Green rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Palhares's guard! Nice work there by Green!
Green slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Palhares has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A looping hook to the body misses from Green. Palhares does a little dance to reset his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pluto Palhares dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Keith Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Palhares dives into side control.
Green is trying to get back to half guard.
Green is trying to escape the position but Palhares is controlling the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palhares wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working.

Green wants to control but Palhares postures up.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Palhares. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Palhares is looking to work some ground and pound but Green has wrist control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Green is trying to hold Palhares in close to prevent damage but Palhares has managed to pass into half guard.
Palhares is looking to take a break and control but Green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Green won't allow Palhares to pass to mount.
Well, if Palhares is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pluto Palhares has got the better of the ground game so far.
Palhares thows a huge punch but Green dodges it nicely.

Pluto Palhares showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Green is rocked!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Palhares cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Green is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Palhares looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Green covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pluto Palhares!
Pluto Palhares made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying '"Conquistador!" (Pluto rampages, Chris Karter gets in the ring and takes the mic) "Stu - Pluto just beat the highest ranked fighter in DILIGAF. Does it look like I care if you give a fuck? Matt Cave, here's a bottle full of my swagger juice, my natural male enhancement formula."'.
